Description:
In light of the recently passed European Regulation 1.924/2006 of
20.12.06, "regarding statements on the nutritional value and
health-promoting content of foods", the framework of the relationship
between producers and distributors and consumers has changed altogether.
From this point on, all information on nutrition or health properties
must be approved by the European Food Safety Agency, which will
monitor this information and ensure that it is in step with reality
and is based on studies or scientific data that has been both proven
and checked. In view of how important this issue is that
is, it affects both general consumers and health professionals who
see food as another element to be integrated into their strategy
to promote a healthy diet and better overall health Barcelona
Degusta has decided to hold a round-table discussion with specialists
in order to boost familiarity on this issue.
